The FLG 4LD has the same rim as the semi-shallow B4LD S1 trumpet mouthpiece. (The standard-depth B4LD/2 S3 and the old non-Slap B4LD have this same rim as well.) The FLG 4LD is made for players who use the B4LD S1 (or B4LD/2 S3) and want the exact same rim when playing flugelhorn.
