This is the largest standard size we make, and it works great for players with clean body use, excellent breathing and who are not relying on tension in the upper register. The B1-1 S1 is a very large and deep mouthpiece, similar to the rim size and cup depth of the Bach 1. The rim contour is very round, both on the inner and outer edges. We recommend this size for people looking for a very big, broad and dark sound, and is most commonly used by orchestral players. This size was designed for Charlie Schlueter, retired principle trumpet of the Boston Symphony.
